This week long project explored the tactility of space. As a group of four we investigated the structural qualities of concrete, aiming to create a seemingly impossible floating concrete slab. The concept was a journey up through a dark space to a mysterious glowing box which was the sole source of light. The polycarbonate diffused the light through the space and masked the structural steel columns supporting the roof. Upon entering the box the only view is towards the sky.
