The Tongji International Construction Festival is an annual student competition in Shanghai focused on construction of a pavilion. Each team had three days to construct a structure using 31 polycarbonate sheets.
Interlocking explored slotting sheets cut two 5 standards templates to create a pavilion which theoretically could be continued into a much larger area using the same standard sheet templates. The pinwheel design aimed to create not a space to linger but one to pass through and get lost in.
